Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Expo Guadalajara, we are leading the sustainable transformation of the events industry in Mexico.
Our Sustainability Strategy, built around the pillars of Environmental, Social, Governance, and Expo Identity, balances economic growth with the well-being of people and communities, while reducing our environmental impact.
Through measurable goals and international standards such as the SDGs, GRI, and ISO 20121, we move forward with innovation, transparency, and collaboration to position ourselves as a national and Latin American benchmark in sustainable practices.

Our Progress So Far
Rainwater Harvesting System
In July 2025, we inaugurated our rainwater harvesting system—an infrastructure with the capacity to store up to 100,000 liters, designed to support various operational needs of the venue.
From July to December 2025, a total of 1,309 m³ was collected, covering approximately 3% of demand.
Renewable Energy
Today, our 3,200 m² of solar panels generate around 10% of Expo Guadalajara’s electricity needs, helping us move toward a more efficient and environmentally responsible venue.
Community Support
In May 2025, we opened a new "Cruz Roja Mexicana" base within Expo Guadalajara to help expand coverage and improve emergency response times.
Throughout 2025, 1,066 services were provided, accounting for 14% of the total services in Guadalajara.
Social Investment
Through the Expo Guadalajara Foundation, we actively promote corporate social responsibility by supporting civil society organizations.
In 2025, a total of 1.5 million pesos was allocated to nonprofits through our co-investment program, Búmeran Social: Pitch with Purpose, supporting 10 organizations.
Lactation Rooms
We are the only venue in Mexico with two fully equipped lactation rooms, providing a comfortable space for mothers to breastfeed and care for their babies.
Each space includes:
- Equipment for sterilizing bottles
- Refrigeration to store expressed milk
- Diaper disposal containers
- Baby changing stations
In 2025, our lactation rooms supported more than 300 women during their breastfeeding period.
At Expo Guadalajara, we have adopted 8 Sustainable Development Goals as a fundamental part of our Sustainability Strategy, committing to actively contribute to sustainable development through concrete and responsible actions.

No Poverty
Contribute to the economy by generating jobs across the entire value chain.

Gender Equality
Promote an inclusive workplace, with leadership opportunities for women.

Clean Water and Sanitation
Improve management practices.

Affordable and Clean Energy
Use renewable energy sources and reduce electricity consumption.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
Ensure a safe and fair working environment for all staff.

Responsible Consumption and Production
Implement measures to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Climate Action

Life on Land
Promote the conservation of green areas within and beyond the venue.
Materiality
A materiality analysis was conducted to identify the topics or factors whose management can generate a significant positive or negative impact on the social or environmental environment, without considering financial impacts.
As a result,
14 material topics
were identified, on which objectives, goals, and action plans were developed.
We continue moving forward with our sights set on a better tomorrow.
We invite you to help build, together, a more conscious, human, and responsible environment.
